The Online Assessment stage…
This stage can vary with companies, and how they carry out their online assessment tasks.

The types of tasks I have seen are:
- Logic test - The same agency runs the tests for most companies, this test involves identifying patterns of shapes, sequences, etc. They will give you practice beforehand so don’t worry.
- Numerical test - This test is common with applications into finance and tech, they will have you carry out simple calculations under time. This can involve percentage change, mean, analysing tables, and more.
- Job Simulation - This is a unique test with each company. The main goal of this test is to identify your personality in work by interacting with different types of colleagues. For example, you may be asked to respond to questions posed by colleagues or how you would react in a certain situation.
Preparing for these tests:
You do not need to prepare as much for this stage compared to others, as the company will give you sufficient practice material to familiarise yourself with the questions. For the job simulation, make sure to read the companies values and what they want in a applicant, and apply this when responding to the questions - it is mostly common sense.
